About Self Service Car Wash
Located at 1004 N Cedar Bluff Rd, Knoxville, TN 37923, Self Service Car Wash operates as a self-service car wash serving Knoxville in Tennessee. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
In Knoxville, washes are busiest on sunny weekends and the first dry day after rain or a snowstorm, when lines back onto the street; weekday mornings are the quietest. Across Tennessee, expect a basic exterior wash to cost about what a fast-food meal does, with wax, tire shine and undercarriage rinse sold as tiers above it. Self-service bays are the cheapest way to clean a truck bed, a muddy off-roader or a vehicle that will not fit a tunnel, and many run around the clock. Check the listing for the wash type, hours, free vacuums, unlimited plans and whether the site accepts cards or app payments, then call ahead in freezing weather, when tunnels close.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is Open 24 hours. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. No phone number is listed for this business, so the Google Maps link on this page is the best route for directions and any contact details Google has on file.
Its Google rating is 3.9 out of 5 from 116 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
Knoxville is in Tennessee, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Traffic in Knoxville peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. Addresses read from the street number up to the city, state abbreviation and five-digit ZIP code; the map link on this page shows the exact spot.

This car wash is well maintained. There are self service car wash bays, vacuums, and a carpet shampooer. There's a change machine, but you can use debit or credit cards to wash your car. You will need quarters for the vacuum though.

Used this car wash for the first time and drove into the second bay from the left and there was no pressure which was odd. Changed to the fourth bay and it worked great. Owner/Manager please contact me for the overcharges! I got charged four (4) times on December 15, 2025! I will dispute the three (3) charges if I don't hear back from you.

UPDATE: my debit card has been adjusted and I was charged correctly. I believe the 15.00 was a hold so I've changed my rating. I'm in knoxville once a week so I will definitely be going back. Thanks to the owner who definitely takes care of his business. Car wash was fine, except I paid $4 cash, then used my card to pay for a 3 minute rinse. The sign says minimum 2.50, max 15.00. I was charged 15.00 for a 3 minute rinse? I will disputing it unless I hear from the owner. I left my name and number to let them know so I hope they do get in touch.

Quite honestly, I probably should've given them five stars for All of the times that I've actually used this Car Wash. But today I lost $20 trying to wash my car using several machines but all of them ate the tokens or the quarters without giving me a wash. It was extremely frustrating! Not sure if I'll be back Editing my review, super great of the owner to provide a refund. FYI Owner- it seems to be the Coin meter that is giving trouble, ithey accept coins but the counter doesn't advance. It seemed to happen with tokens and quarters, and in several bays.
